SBI Looks at Nearly ₹5,000 Crore Payout from Early NSE Stake Sale in IPO

MUMBAI, June 18, 2026, 19:46 IST State Bank of India is looking to turn a ₹1.98 crore investment into as much as ₹5,000 crore as the National Stock Exchange of India heads for an IPO. SBI’s selling up to 24.75 million shares it picked up at an average price of ₹0.80 each. Unlisted-market trading puts the latest price at ₹2,055 a share, which would put SBI’s holding at about ₹5,086 crore before taxes and fees.
